Acrylic Painting on Canvas
- Why Priming is Important
About Acrylic Painting on Canvas with primer.
I learned early in my artistry about priming the canvas with white
before painting on it. If you buy a good canvas of linen itīs mostly
primed, if you buy a cheaper of cotton (thatīs what I mostly use) itīs
not. Priming makes a surface that doesnīt absorb so much paint and the
result gets more shiny. Two layers makes a good surface.
Type of colour
A regular primer for walls is the most cheap one. Since acrylic is
waterbased, thatīs the type you want for the primer.
Using the brush right
End the process with softly take the brush on straight lines, makeing
squares.
